When we were little, blueberries were an inseparable part of summer.
At the camps, they made blueberry dumplings, grandmothers baked wonderful blueberry pies, mothers mashed blueberries with sugar and cream, and the children picked blueberries in the forest to eat them right away. But did you know that blueberries not only taste great, but they are also incredibly healthy? However, it is primarily about those wild, forest ones, from which the mouth is so beautifully blue and are difficult to wash out of clothing.
Blueberries contain a lot of health-beneficial substances. They support brain activity, have a beneficial effect on digestion, improve the cardiovascular functions of the body and also memory, and reduce blood pressure. They prevent premature aging of the organism, help with urinary tract inflammation, and against diabetes. If you exercise, blueberries will help you burn fat and aid in muscle recovery.
